Educational Kit

The Trousse pédagogique d’information et d’orientation en assurance de dommages (Educational kit containing information and guidance about the damage insurance industry) is a major project targeting teachers and participants in the second cycle of high school (i.e. grades 9, 10 and 11). This kit, which can be used as an educational tool for several subject matters, such as French, Maths, History and Economics, is also a unique resource for raising awareness about damage insurance professions among guidance and vocational counsellors.

The educational kit has three main objectives:

• To help students become more responsible consumers
• To help them get acquainted with the concepts and damage insurance vocabulary
• To make them aware of the opportunities in the industry

Special Publication

Since 2004, the Coalition produces a special publication on damage insurance that is inserted in seven major Quebec dailies: La Presse, Le Soleil, Le Nouvelliste, La Tribune, Le Droit, Le Quotidien, and La Voix de l’Est. This excellent information tool, which is financed by the industry, draws upon the collaboration of several partners and participants. One major feature are the professional profiles of the candidates sought by the industry and the professional education that is offered through various college programs (AEC and DEC). Also, several testimonials describe the career opportunities in the industry.
