Code of ethics

As for various liberal professions, damage insurance agents and brokers, as well as claims adjusters, are governed by a code of ethics which helps protect the public and guarantees the consumers that damage insurance professionals perform their practice with integrity and competence. If they fail to meet these obligations, they expose themselves to disciplinary sanctions, from reprimands to temporary or permanent de-registration.
