Criteria for Trainers

The ChAD grants accreditation to training activities, not to trainers.  However, an activity can only receive accreditation if it is given by one (or several) experienced trainer(s), who has/have the relevant training or experience in training.

In order to receive ChAD accreditation, the activity must be given by a trainer who meets the following criteria:

  • 3 years of experience in the subject taught

AND

  • 24 hours of training in knowledge transmission methods

or,

  • 240 hours of experience as a trainer

or,

  • 12 hours of training in knowledge transmission methods, combined with a 100 hours of experience as a trainer.

Training supplier who wish to add or replace a trainer who is leading a training activity must immediately notify the ChAD and provide proof that the new trainer meets the above-mentioned criteria.

PDUs granted to Trainer

Please note that the ChAD grants 2 PDUs per hour to any member who gives training for the first time.
