Sharing Roles and Responsibilities in Claims Adjustment

Claims Adjustment – Sharing Roles and Responsibilities guides claims adjustment professionals in identifying the acts that are the exclusive responsibility of claims adjusters and those that may be performed by service providers or by employees working over the phone. It is worthwhile noting that since October 2007 the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has been using this document as a guideline when investigating cases of illegal claims adjustment practices.  Changes to the Guide, which was revised in July 2009, clarify the chart itself and reflect the changes found in the updated version of the “Implementation Directive of the AMF Pertaining to the Definition and Exclusive Activities of Claims Adjusters”, published last May 29th.
