CHANGE IN MEMBERSHIP DUES FOR MEMBERS OF THE CHAD

Please note that as of January 1, 2012, annual membership dues for the Chamber’s 2012 fiscal year will be set at $275.

At their general meeting, held on April 6, 2011, the members of the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages (the Chamber) approved the Regulation respecting Chamber membership dues (the Regulation), thus instituting the first increase in membership dues since 1999.

For subsequent years, the Regulation stipulates that every January 1st, membership dues will be indexed to the rate of increase of the general Consumer Price Index for Quebec.

A member’s annual membership dues must be paid to the Autorité des marchés financiers (the Authority) at the latest on the date of certificate renewal or on the date at which the first certificate is issued. Please note that the Authority will send renewal notices on the date determined by the first letter of the family name.

Members will receive an invoice from the Authority 60 days before their right to pursue activities ends. This invoice will include the amount of the membership dues ($275 plus tax) and a retroactive adjustment for the months of 2012 up to and including the month in which the invoice is dated. This adjustment will be based on a $35 (plus tax) increase in the membership dues.
