Not all insurance proposals include a question concerning past records of the policy-holder. Since policy-holders are often unaware that it is their responsibility to transmit this information when they buy insurance, ChAD suggests that brokerage firms adopt a policy to see to it that representatives conscientiously fulfill their role as advisors in this regard.
